Background Info:

Tryout Fee - $60 mandatory for all players except Mites which is $30

Tryout Format: As was the case last year, every player to be eligible for a team must tryout for their Birth year team (94, 95, 96, 97, 98 and 99). New this year, each tryout will in addition to the named coaches also have qualified observers evaluating the players during the tryouts. Teams will be selected by the head coach with input from the observers. Ultimately, the Head Coach will have the final decision on a player.

• Jerseys will be ordered post tryouts
• Because tryouts are in summer and not the first week of school, there are some unavoidable conflicts. The policy for absence (listed in the document section) applies as it has for the past 6 years. However, it is important to clarify a few items. The coach is the first person who needs to be contacted with the request. The coach will then ask for board approval. In the case that a player has to miss both CSDHL/99 tryouts and the coach after those two days of tryouts feels compelled to name less than a full team after the 2nd tryout, that coach will evaluate and select his final team after the first Buckeye tryout. Players selected after the CSDHL tryouts will be notified and released from the buckeye tryouts.
